Sur ce nouveau pont qui traverse la Vltava et relie Prague 4 \u00e0 Prague 5, la circulation automobile ordinaire est interdite. Il est principalement destin\u00e9 aux bus, aux tramways, aux pi\u00e9tons et aux cyclistes. Ces derniers peuvent circuler soit sur la voie du tramway, \u00e9galement utilis\u00e9e par les bus, soit sur le trottoir. En partie financ\u00e9e par\u00a0un programme de l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne, sa r\u00e9alisation a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 plus de 15 000 m\u00e8tres cubes de b\u00e9ton et 3 000 tonnes d\u2019armatures.
